The amount of snow cover in the 2021-2022 season was more than 21 meters. Adrian Koroteev, a forecaster for the Rosa Khutor resort, reported on unusual results.

«The winter season 2021-2022 in the mountains of Sochi turned out to be the snowiest in the past five years. The sum of snow cover increments at an altitude of 2320 meters above sea level, at the Rose Peak mark, according to data from the storm rail, which are taken every three hours, was more than 21 meters. For comparison, in the 2020-2021 season this value was about 17 meters, 2019-2020 - 12 meters, 2018-2019 - 13 meters, 2017-2018 -14 meters, 2016-2017 - 15 meters. The growth values are impressive, but it is worth remembering that this is freshly fallen snow, which then subsides significantly,» said Adrian Koroteev.

The winter season at the Rosa Khutor resort will last until April 22.
