The press service of the resort "Arkhyz" reported that the music and science festival "Other Sound" will be held from August 10 to 13. Its program includes concerts, excursions to the Special Astronomical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences and temples of the X-XI century, breakfasts with musicians and scientists, birdwatching, visits to thermal springs and author's hikes.
On August 13, a concert of classical music from the AlterSono orchestra will take place in the mountains at an altitude of 2505 m. To visit it, you need to buy a ticket for the cable car from the central square of the resort "Arkhyz". Entrance to the concert venue is a voluntary donation of any amount.
Seminars for musicians will be held as part of the professional program of the festival. And piano and violin master classes will be held for young students of music schools in the region and the country.
"The concerts will be attended by 13 young musicians and soloists – laureates of international competitions. The audience will discover a variety of genres and eras, from Ludwig van Beethoven and Antonio Vivaldi to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and contemporary Russian composers. The scientific program will be held with the participation of experts from the Moscow State University Traffic Police, the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Faculty of Biology of St. Petersburg State University, the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences," the message says.
