The first All-Russian competition of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Strategic Initiative Agency for New Projects Promotion” for the creation of tourist and recreational clusters and the development of ecotourism in Russia has started, as by the organisation’s Director General Svetlana Chupsheva at a press conference in Moscow.
«The applications can be submitted until July 10. We will select 30 teams for the acceleration program. They will be announced on July 28," said Chupsheva.
She said that among the selection criteria, there are unique objects of various categories on the territory, an economically sound financial model of the project, attractiveness for investors and a calculated anthropogenic load. Separately, Chupsheva emphasized the importance of working out the issue of waste management in national parks and reserves, without which it is impossible to win a competition.
Chupsheva said thst "the construction of access roads, airports» will be co—funded by national projects, and investors and entrepreneurs can build infrastructure, ecotrails, cafes, restaurants and leisure facilities.
Based on the results of the competition, the top 10 territories will be selected with a comprehensive project model to be implemented. They will have the opportunity to attract investors and receive co-financing from federal programs, and then begin the implementation of projects at the end of the year.
Chupsheva expressed the hope that by the end of the year it will be possible to see ready-made solutions in several areas where this comprehensive project will be implemented.
The competition will end on October 16th.
