On the online platforms moskvapeterburg.rf, until December 18, proposals are being collected for the development of a single tourist macro-territory that connects the regions on the way from Moscow to St. Petersburg. This is reported by the tourist portal Visit Petersburg.
“The platform for collecting ideas was launched as part of a comprehensive planning for the development of eight constituent entities of the Russian Federation as a single macro-region for travel,” the message says.
The tourist "corridor" unites the territories of Moscow, Moscow, Tver, Pskov, Novgorod regions, the Republic of Karelia, the Leningrad region and St. Petersburg. It will connect Moscow with the northern capital and the routes of the "Silver Necklace" of the North-West.
Integrated spatial planning will serve as an effective tool for developing infrastructure and increasing the investment attractiveness of the territories included in the From Moscow to St. Petersburg project, the portal notes.
“The Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg, together with the regions of the Northwestern Federal District and industry participants, is developing programs within which St. portal.
The master plan will serve as the formation of an endless constructor of recreation and travel scenarios. On the platform, each user can mark a point on the map to which his proposal relates, as well as add photos that most fully reveal his idea.
“Thus, the collection and analysis of opinions will help to discover what “pearls” the region hides and how interregional cooperation can be optimized to create the most interesting tourist programs, thanks to which many new educational routes for different categories of travelers will appear on the way from Moscow to St. Petersburg,” - explained Visit Petersburg.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023.
