A car route has been developed around the places of Alexander Nevsky

It passes through the places of military glory of the prince and is dedicated to the 800th anniversary of Alexander Nevsky. The 937 km road trip will take three to seven days, according to Russia.travel.

“The auto route leads tourists who are interested in the history of Russia and battles through four regions of the north-west of Russia at once. It starts and ends in St. Petersburg, and travelers will also be able to see the places of feats of arms in the Leningrad, Novgorod and Pskov regions,” the portal notes.

The route includes such points as the Alexander Nevsky Lavra and Alexander Nevsky Square (St. Petersburg), the museum of the history of the region and the impregnable fortress of boulders (Gdov), the museum of the fishing region "Samolvovsky granary", the monument to the prince with his squad and the museum of history "Battle on the Ice" "(Samolva village). In addition, travelers are invited to visit the Novgorod Kremlin and St. Sophia Cathedral (Veliky Novgorod), the Kobyl settlement with a monument to Alexander Nevsky and the Poklonny cross, as well as Pskov, Izborsk, Porkhov.
