Its creation will cost a private investor four billion rubles. This was announced by the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kozlov.

"Akhun is one of the sights of the Sochi National Park. At the same time, the building is in emergency condition, there are no normal service facilities, and thousands of tourists spend more than half an hour to reach this cluttered peak. We agreed with the investor that he will build a cable car from Sochi to Akhun, the investment is more than four billion rubles, where half of the amount is related infrastructure. We have conducted scientific research, the impact on natural ecosystems will be minimal during construction. Direct construction will begin in 2023. And as a result, residents and guests of the city will be able to see the beautiful territory and get to the top of the mountain in just 10 minutes," commented the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, Alexander Kozlov.

The cable car to the Akhun tower will be equipped with 10-seater cabins. Its capacity will be approximately 1500 people per hour. The ascent to the top of Bolshoi Akhun will last less than ten minutes, while the road by private car along the mountain serpentine now takes more than half an hour.
