The schedule includes 57 domestic and 27 international routes. In the summer season of 2024, flights from Sochi operated to 64 domestic and 24 international destinations.
"Flights will be operated by 32 airlines – 20 Russian and 12 foreign. Traditionally, we expect a significant volume of traffic to Moscow. Flights on this route will be operated by nine airlines, with up to 40 flights per day in the summer period," noted Alexander Nikonov, Deputy General Director for Commercial Activities of the Aerodynamics Holding.
On domestic routes, flights to Arkhangelsk, Abakan, Murmansk, and Elista will resume in April-May, and to Vladikavkaz, Khanty-Mansiysk, and Petrozavodsk in June. Domestic traffic is projected to be at the level of last year, while international traffic is expected to grow by 28 percent. The most popular destinations from Sochi are Istanbul and Antalya (Turkey). In the spring-summer schedule, the number of flights to these cities will increase, and flights to Bodrum will also be introduced. The number of flights to Egypt, Armenia, and Georgia will also increase. In June, another UAE airline, Air Arabia, will start operating flights on the Sharjah-Sochi route, and the Kuwaiti Jazeera Airways on the Kuwait-Sochi route.
"I want to draw attention to the development of inbound tourism. Flydubai will operate daily flights to Sochi from Dubai. Etihad Airways will open the Abu Dhabi-Sochi route in May," added Alexander Nikonov.
Sochi is the only airport in the Krasnodar region that receives and sends passenger flights: since February 2022, the airports of Anapa, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, as well as airports in several other regions of southern Russia, have been closed for security reasons. In recent years, the annual passenger traffic of the airport has been about 14 million people.
