For the first time in history, royal families have become hosts on Airbnb and their offer is very unusual. This suite of rooms located in one of the private parts of the palace was used in the past for royal heads and honored guests but so far, it has never been available to the public.

The luxurious interiors of the living rooms, large and spacious reception rooms, crystal chandeliers, gilt wall decorations, intricate carvings amaze visitors' imagination. So, the traveler staying in this apartment can really feel what it is like to be one of the rulers of the world.

Meals are also served at the highest level - authentic Rajasthan food is served on the terrace featuring stunning views of the surrounding Aravalli hills and fortress walls. And the guests can have a snack between their hearty meals looking at the peacocks living in the lush gardens of the palace.

The owner is an elegant, 21-year-old Maharaja Padmanabh Singh, a man of today. The young heir, who inherited his grandfather’s property in 2011 that was ruled by his ancestors for almost a thousand years, said he was very inspired by this project. “I am very pleased that my family and I are working with Airbnb, which allows us to show the Rajasthan’s splendor to the visitors from all over the world,” he said. “I will readily accord the real Indian hospitality to other people from around the world.”

The proceeds from each hotel booking will go to the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting rural women and artisans in Rajasthan.

The standard price for the de luxe suite is $8,000 per night, but Airbnb will pay the balance for each booking as a contribution to the Fund for the remainder of 2019.

A city palace steeped in culture and history is located in the heart of Jaipur, the capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan, is an example of the Rajputs’ architecture of the 18th century, one of the most iconic buildings in India. It was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of the Pink City, the city was called so because of the unusual pink color of the stone used in the construction. In 1727, he moved from Amber to Jaipur.

Until 1949, the City Palace was the ceremonial and administrative building of the Jaipur Maharaja, as well as a venue for religious and cultural events. It currently houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum, and is still the home of the royal family in Jaipur. The palace complex consists of several buildings, various courtyards, galleries, restaurants and offices of the Museum Trust.
