Ecotourism in Crimea aims to preserve the environment
The expedition included volunteers from Moscow, Vyborg, Surgut and Belgorod.
The main task of the volunteers was cleaning the territory of the former polar station. There was a large amount of deformed metal among the roof beams and brickwork.
In addition to cleaning at the station, 80 two-hundred-liter barrels left there from Soviet times were moved by volunteers. Volunteers also liquidated an old spontaneous landfill - they disposed of wooden waste, collected and removed broken glass, slate, metal structures.
Expeditions to clean up and explore the Arctic are organized by the Governor's Center of the Arkhangelsk region annually, pravdasevera.ru reported.
