The Pomor settlement in the Murmansk region to levy a tax on tourists

A tourist tax will be introduced in the primorsky urban settlement of Umba in the Murmansk Region from January 1, 2025, the head of the Tersk district Ramil Khairullina said on her VK page.

According to her, the funds received will be spent only on the construction, repair and development of the tourist infrastructure of the settlement. 

The amount of the tourist tax will be 1%, but not less than 100 rubles per day. In 2026, the bar will rise to 2%, in 2027 it will be 3%, in 2028 – 4%, in 2029 – 5%, but not less than 100 rubles for daily accommodation. 

The tourist tax will be collected from legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who own property and provide services for the provision of places for temporary residence of citizens. 

A recreation center, a hotel, a hotel, a fishing and hunting base and a fishing camp are located in Umba.
