The scientists took part in a two-day online meeting and discussed the preliminary results of the research, the stages of processing the data obtained during the field work.

The international expedition "Arctic 2021" was organized by the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute together with the Swiss Polar Institute and the Center for Oceanographic Research. Helmholtz. Scientists from 11 countries have collected a large amount of interdisciplinary data in round-the-clock research to study the effects of climate change in the Russian Arctic.

During the online meeting, the researchers discussed the scientific results of the expedition, exchanged views on cooperation and prospects for joint work. Swiss and German specialists showed great interest in the data obtained by scientists of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute in the field of studying the waters of the Atlantic, the content of chlorophyll and organic substances.

"Further, work will continue in the format of international thematic groups to coordinate the preparation of scientific publications, mutual exchange of research results," the press service of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute said in a statement.
