The contest "Amazing and Unexplored Arctic" starts

Participants of the competition, which will be held in three stages, can be schoolchildren of 7-11 grades and their leaders.

Stage I. Preparation of a scientific article "Conservation of biodiversity in the Arctic", dedicated to the issues of nature protection, the response of Arctic ecosystems to climate change and anthropogenic impact. Dates: from February 27 to March 17, 2023.

Stage II. Preparation of a research project "The Present and Future of the Arctic". Dates: from 3 to 14 April 2023. Projects will be defended on April 21, 2023.

Stage III. Creation of video material "Arctic tourism. Prospects for development". Dates: from 8 to 19 May 2023.

The results of the contest will be announced on May 31st.

The first competition "Amazing and Unexplored Arctic" started on the International Polar Bear Day - February 27, 2021. The winners were 10th grade students of the International Arctic School Karina Titova and Ekaterina Kralina. They took part in aerial monitoring of the polar bear population in the Bear Islands state nature reserve.
