Starting this year, not only young people, but also the older generation will be recruited into volunteer units.
The press service of the "Clean Arctic" reported that this year the first "silver volunteers" will join the project. Until now, the oldest volunteers were no more than 35 years old. At the same time, hundreds of people over the age of 50 and even 60 expressed their desire to take part in the general cleaning of the Arctic.
According to project manager Andrei Nagibin, each "silver volunteer" will undergo a thorough health check and rigorous testing of physical abilities.
“Only those who are 100% healthy and whose body is adapted to high physical exertion will go on expeditions. Although I am sure that many “age” volunteers will give our youth a “light”,” he noted.
