13 out of 32,000 schoolchildren and students in Moscow have been selected to go to Antarctica thousand as participants of the Moscow Youth Antarctic Expedition.
The first ever Antarctic expedition led by the famous traveler Matvey Shparo starts on November 26 and will last until December 14. To get to the sixth continent, the guys had to go through five stages, including writing an Arctic dictation and showing their skills during the "Antarctica Calls" training camps.
As a result, five college students from Moscow and eight more students from Moscow schools were selected, who will be flown to the Arctic from Cape Town.
The students are tasked with ensuring the life of the camp, and the students will have to investigate the state of ice, snow and atmosphere for contamination.
