Registration of participants of the third volunteer campus in the village of Nickel in the Murmansk region continues. It will work on July 2-16 with the support of Norilsk Nickel, sgnorilsk.ru reports.

Participants from all over Russia together with urbanists and environmentalists will equip the urban space of post-industrial Nickel, help install objects for outdoor activities and continue to clean the riverbed of the Kolosjoki River.

The project is also aimed at developing the volunteer movement of lovers of the North, who make the world more environmentally friendly.

Last year, one of the participants of the campus during the cleaning of the Kolosjoki River found a completely unexpected object – an icon. It was studied for a long time and then restored in the Murmansk diocese, and in May 2023 the icon returned to the village of Nickel, where it was installed in the church of St. Tryphon of Pechenga.
