Norilsk Nickel has announced the launch of its annual social project competition, "World of Taimyr," aimed at supporting initiatives for the development of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of Taimyr.

The competition is designed to help solve local problems related to the preservation of the culture, life, and traditions of indigenous peoples, as well as creating conditions for the sustainable development of their traditional residence areas.

Non-profit organizations, family (clan) communities, as well as state and municipal institutions registered and operating on the territory of the Taimyr Peninsula can participate in the competition.

The competition includes four nominations covering various aspects of the life of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of Taimyr. The authors of the best projects in each nomination can receive grants ranging from 2 to 6.5 million rubles.

Applications for the competition are accepted from January 20 to February 28. The results of the competition will be announced on March 31. The "World of Taimyr" competition is an important tool to support the indigenous small-numbered peoples of Taimyr, contributing to the preservation of their unique culture and traditions, as well as creating conditions for the sustainable development of their living areas.

The competition is held within the framework of a four-party agreement on interaction and cooperation between Norilsk Nickel, all-Russian, regional and local associations of indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North. During the term of the agreement, the company has already held the "World of Taimyr" competition twice and supported 46 projects for a total amount of 98.8 million rubles.
