New edition of Northern Forum on Sustainable Development opens in Yakutsk

The 5th Northern Forum on Sustainable Development will bring together experts from 17 countries in Yakutsk from September 24 to 27.

The Northern Forum is dedicated to the issues of resilience of Arctic regions and cities, global partnership for sustainable development of the North, creative industries and culture of the Arctic, climate change and permafrost melting.

The business program will be held at 60 expert venues. The 2nd Scientific and Practical Conference on Climate Change and Permafrost Melting will be held as part of the international event.

Scientists, experts, representatives of government, business and public organizations from Russia, China, India, Belarus, Mongolia, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, the Republic of Cameroon, Kenya, Mali and other countries will gather on the sidelines of the forum. In total, representatives of 17 countries of the world will take part in the event, ria.ru reports.
