The second field season of the "Clean Arctic" project ended this week. This year, 3,000 people became volunteers. Thanks to their efforts, it was possible to remove and dispose of more than 3,300 tons of waste accumulated in the Arctic since the middle of the last century.

The press service of the project reported that next year the organizers expect to set a new record and remove 10,000 tons of garbage by clearing 400 hectares of Arctic land. They estimate that the total number of volunteers could reach 5,000 in 2023.
