More than 100,000 tourists visited the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug from January to July 2024, Rosstat reported.

"The development of tourism in Yamal has become one of the key directions in the regional development strategy. Tourism opens up new opportunities to attract guests and promote the unique natural and cultural resources of Yamal," she commented Olga Filippenkova, Managing Director of the Center for Tourism Development in the Polar Urals.

According to her, thanks to an integrated approach in realizing the tourist potential of Yamal, the territory in the near future will become convenient for local residents and a point of attraction for travelers from all over Russia.
