The VIII International Conference "Arctic: Sustainable Development of Regions" ("Arctic-2023") will be held next year on March 2-3 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
The event is dedicated to topical issues of exploration and development of the Arctic, its role in meeting the global demand for energy resources, world experience in geological exploration and drilling in the difficult conditions of the Arctic using modern innovative technologies, international cooperation and the preservation of the culture of the indigenous and small peoples of the Arctic.
A number of other important issues are also on the agenda. The participants of the event will discuss how to create conditions for attracting investments to the regions and develop entrepreneurial activity in the Arctic.
In addition, issues of ensuring the energy security of the regions of the Far North and the Far East, the strategy for the development of the transport infrastructure of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, innovations in technological and design solutions for the extraction and processing of minerals in the conditions of the Far North, and environmental safety issues in the Arctic will be considered.
Participants will pay special attention to the topic of innovative development of the northern regions through the digitalization of the economy, the introduction of domestic technologies for the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation in the field of construction, the creation of off-road vehicles and payload capacity, the development of small aircraft, radio electronics and medicine.
The main goal of the conference is to promote sustainable socio-economic development and development of the Arctic, stimulate scientific, technical and innovative activities, as well as create favorable conditions for attracting investments in development projects of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
