International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples to be celebrated in Murmansk region

The International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples will be celebrated on August 9 in the Murmansk region. This year, more than a hundred different events are dedicated to this event in the cities and villages of the region such as exhibitions, thematic meetings, exciting quests, master classes in traditional crafts, quizzes, concerts and much more.

The main festive event will take place on August 10 at the site of the Ethnographic Sami complex in the village of Tuloma. It is also planned to hold the second culinary competition "Arctic Fish Soup".

The celebration of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples is organized within the framework of the Year of the Family in Russia and the International Decade of Indigenous Languages, b-port.com reports.
