In 2025 activists of the "Clean Arctic" to clean up territories in the battlefields of the GPW

The main area of work of the Clean Arctic public environmental project in the year of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War will be cleaning the battlefields and the labor feat of the people in the rear, the press service of the project reported. 

According to its head, Andrei Nagibin, special attention is planned to be paid to the territories of settlements bearing the honorary title of City of Labor Valor, and those that claim this title. There will be works on the improvement of monuments, mass graves, memorials. 

During the Great Patriotic War there were serious battles in the Murmansk region. In 1942 the northernmost battles between Soviet and German sailors for control of the Northern Sea Route took place in the port of Dixon in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In addition, in the fifth anniversary season of the project, the Clean Arctic volunteers plan to hold many educational events, showing military artifacts found in battlefields.
