The Russian Arctic is actively implementing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, transforming the harsh northern region into a digital frontier. Thanks to AI, the lives of northerners are becoming more comfortable and modern.

For example, AI is optimizing shipping along the Northern Sea Route, increasing cargo volumes and reducing risks. The development of fiber-optic networks and the use of satellite technologies have provided residents of remote Arctic settlements with access to high-speed internet and mobile communications. This opens up new opportunities for education, medicine, and communication.

Moreover, Indigenous peoples of the North are actively using modern technologies. IT camps allow them to participate in international conferences and exchange experiences.

The Murmansk region is one of the leaders in Russia in the implementation of artificial intelligence in various fields. The region actively supports projects aimed at developing digital technologies and improving the quality of life of the population.
