200,000 tourists expected in Yamal by the end of the year

According to the results of 2023, the annual tourist flow in Yamal will amount to 200,000 tourists. This was announced by the head of the Department of Youth Policy of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District Nail Khairullin.

Last year, Yamal received 192,000 tourists. Most of them were so-called "business tourists" who came on a business trip or to congress events.

"This year we are doing well in terms of dynamics. We will sum up the results in January, I think we will come close to the mark of 200,000 tourists in Yamal," Nail Khairullin said.

The annual tourist flow to the region is growing by 7%, with the exception of the covid period. On average, about a third of the rooms in Yamal are filled. There are cities that are visited more often, and the occupancy of hotels is much higher, the district capital is in the lead here.
