By 2030 Russia will have year-round seaside resorts on the Baltic, Azov, Black, Caspian and Japanese Seas by 2030, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said.
According to him, the key indicator of the national project is the number of domestic tourist trips, which should reach at least 140 million people by 2030. "And ten million, which will provide new seaside resorts, will be a serious contribution to this piggy bank. The plans are to create at least 44.000 new hotel rooms," Chernyshenko said. It is planned that the priority resorts in the country will be New Anapa and Abrau Durso, "Golden Sands of Russia" and Saki in the Crimea, the Caspian Coastal cluster in Dagestan, "Russian Baltic" in Kaliningrad, as well as Primorsky Krai – Vladivostok, Khasansky district.
The creation of a resort is also expected on Lake Baikal. There is already a special economic zone regime that provides tax preferences. The implementation of tourism projects here will attract about 50 billion rubles, ttelegraf.ru notes.
