St. Petersburg is set to launch winter sightseeing tours in the central waters of the Neva River at the end of January. This was announced by the city's tourism portal, visit-petersburg.ru.

"For the first time, passengers will be able to embark on a unique journey across the icy surface and admire the city's landscapes: the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Hermitage, the Spit of Vasilievsky Island, the Bronze Horseman, and the Summer Garden. Modern hovercraft will make the trip more comfortable," the statement reads.

The route will begin from the pier located on the "Fregat Blagodat" (Petrovskaya embankment, 2), the portal noted, citing the organizers.
