Trip.com announced it hosted a “Super World Tour BOSS LIVE” livestream show in Bangkok, Thailand, on 31 January 2024. The two-hour livestream session, organised together with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism & Sports to promote inbound tourism to the Kingdom, was streamed from Rosewood Bangkok and featured deals including for flights, accommodations and tour packages to Thailand.
The livestream show was hosted by Trip.com Group’s Vice President Ms Sun Tianxu, who has hosted more than 200 livestream sessions over the past four years. The livestream highlighted Thailand as a leading travel destination for its lively entertainment scene, beautiful islands, vibrant culture, and delectable cuisine, especially for the upcoming Spring Festival festive period.
Thailand is a key market for Trip.com Group, and its business there has grown significantly over the past few years. Bangkok was the most popular destination in Southeast Asia last year, while Phuket and Chiang Mai were also in the Top 10. Booking volume for the upcoming Spring Festival increased by 235% compared to last year’s Spring Festival, with GMV over the same period surging by 375%. Interest in Thailand has also increased, as evidenced by the rise in search volume for Thailand on the Group’s platforms.
