From February 20 to 23, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky will host the Travel Tourism Sustainable Development Forum, organized on the initiative of the Government of the Kamchatka Territory and with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia and the Roscongress Foundation.

The focus of the forum's events is the Sustainable Tourism Development Forum “Travel!” it will be aimed at the trends and principles of sustainable tourism development in the Russian Federation. The central topics of the meeting will be the implementation of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry", patriotic aspects of domestic tourism and the "green agenda".

Various formats are provided for interested guests – study tours for professionals in the tourism industry, roadshows for investors, and a contact exchange.

In accordance with the architecture of the business program of the forum, published on the website forumkamchatka.ru From February 20 to 22, more than 20 discussion platforms and presentation sessions are planned. February 23 is dedicated to networking, business communication and acquaintance with the tourist infrastructure of the Kamchatka Territory.

This year, for the first time, the forum will be held under a new name, combined with the brand of the largest tourist project — the Russian Travel Forum "Travel!", and will become its official winter venue. The rebranding of the forum is connected with the expansion of the agenda and an increase in the number of regions interested in sharing experiences: this is not only the Far East and the Arctic, but also other regions of the country.

Traditionally, the Forum will become the central business event of the Beringia Winter Festival.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the intensity of the growth of tourist traffic to the Far East and the Arctic in 2023 was twice ahead of the all-Russian indicator: the increase was 40% against 20% on average in Russia.

The rapid growth of citizens' interest in remote territories turns weaknesses into strengths – and now such regions as the Kamchatka Territory, Chukotka, Murmansk Region, Khabarovsk Territory and others are becoming attractive pilot territories for business to test new principles of tourism development.

Registration for the Forum is already available on the website forumkamchatka.ru. Participation in the forum is free of charge.
