The national competition "Photo Trap-2019» took place from September 9 to December 25, 2019. Special protected natural areas of federal significance took part in the event, many of which received prizes.

As EcoTourism Expert came to know, the pictures of the Sayano-Shushenski Nature Reserve (the Krasnoyarsk Territory) won in two categories: Predators and Felines - the works  «The Smiling Wolf» and «The Sayansky Irbis».

Wolves brought the first place to  the Kuznetskiy Alatau Reserve (the Kemerovo region) in the nomination «Video. Predators» with the video «Wolves chasing deer». The reserve noted that it was a great success to capture their pursuit of prey.

The Kuznetskiy Alatau Reserve won another nomination - “Photo. Ungulates”: the prize winning photo was of a male deer, taken against a bright sunrise.

When choosing the best works, experts paid special attention to the quality of materials, their aesthetic and scientific value. The number of votes cast for the photos also mattered. The national park “Land of the Leopard” (the Primorsky Territory) also became a project nominee.

The awarding ceremony of the fifth national competition "Phototrap-2019" will be held on January 17 as part of the opening of the All-Russian Nature Festival "Primordial Russia". The project involved organizations that preserve and study wildlife.
