In Norilsk, research has begun for the construction of the longest tourist staircase in Russia, which will lead to an observation deck on Mount Schmidt.

According to the Norilsk Development Agency, which initiated the project, the length of the Norilsk stairs will be 5.6 km. It will be 4.5 times longer than the Krasnoyarsk one on the Torgashinsky Ridge, which is currently the longest staircase in Russia.

On the stairs on Schmidt Mountain, which is planned to be turned into a tourist zone, three viewing platforms will be equipped.

A paragliding platform will be built at the top of the hill itself, and a waiting area, several pavilions and parking will be placed at the foot.
