The first scientific conference "Ecological tourism: development challenges" ends with success

Yesterday the first All-Russian scientific-practical conference "Ecological tourism: development challenges" was held. The event was attended by both international and Russian experts who shared their experience in developing protected areas and attracting tourists to natural parks.

Among the participants was Orlov Stepan, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Duma, head of the working group of the Moscow State Duma for the development of tourism, Ph.D. He spoke about the development of the glamping industry and noted the need to develop this industry to increase the attractiveness of protected areas for lovers of comfortable outdoor recreation.

Among the speakers was the head of the US Environmental Chamber, John Fitzpatrick, who shared his experience of eco-tourism in the US, and also delved into the impact of ecotourism on the environment and economy.

Petrov Vadim Olegovich, Advisor to the Director of the State Oceanographic Institute named after N. N. Zubov, member of the Public Council of Roshydromet, spoke about the key performance indicators of eco-tourism.

Among other things, the speakers exchanged views on the quality of service in the field of ecotourism, the involvement of young people in tourism development projects in protected areas, the development of the Arctic as an attractive tourist destination, and the involvement of indigenous peoples in the development of ecotourism.
