The first environmental fund has been created to support and develop environmental initiatives. The COMPASS Foundation will become a single center for all existing environmental projects in Russia.

“There is not a single person in Russia who would not be dear to the nature of his native land. I believe that the citizens of our country want to take part in one of the most important stages of environmental protection - lawmaking.

COMPASS is the first Russian environmental fund that will become a link between people's initiatives and the law, which will help achieve positive changes in the ecology of our country!” - said Dmitry Kobylkin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

The Fund will be engaged in building a system of interaction in legislative initiatives in the field of ecology, developing scientific and technological projects, supporting public organizations and environmental education.

“The time has come, unique for our country, when our Russian Environmental Fund appears. I am sure that COMPASS will unite activists, scientists and simply caring people, and will become a reliable ally in environmental protection activities. Ecology is everyone's business. Any contribution to the conservation of nature is of great value,” said Svetlana Radionova, head of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Natural Resources, to the importance of creating the Fund.

To become a part of the COMPASS ecological family, you need to register on the official website. You can create a personal account on the website eco-compass.ru

In the near future, the full composition of the Foundation's Board of Trustees will be formed, but at the moment it is known that they plan to include Dmitry Kobylkin (head of the State Duma's "green" committee), Svetlana Radionova (head of Rosprirodnadzor), as well as representatives of art and science.

The official start of the Fund's activities will be given on the eve of the Ecologist's Day at the first musical eco-fest "KUCHA", which will be held on June 3 at 15:00 in Lyubertsy. As part of the event, a mass cleaning of a site in the village of Tomilino and a concert by the Umaturman group will take place. The entrance is free. You can register on the website eco-compass.ru.
