The European Commission opened a website to help tourists

The European Commission has launched a special website to provide information and advice to Europeans who intend to spend their holidays in a member country of the European Union.

While many European countries are removing border restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the «Re-open EU» website, available in 24 languages, provides users with access to information about the epidemiological situation in the country concerned, the possibility of free movement on its territory by car, van or motorcycle, the presence of a quarantine for those entering, or the requirement to carry a medical certificate.

The site contains information about the mandatory wearing of protective masks in public places and on transport, and the observance of physical distance by tourists. Data on museums, restaurants, and beaches are also provided.

Most of the EU countries that are part of the Schengen area have reopened their internal borders. At the same time, special safety requirements have been introduced for travelers from regions where there is a high incidence of coronavirus infection.
