The Baikal Sloboda resort to be created on the shore of the Angara River

The press service of the corporation "Tourism.The Russian Federation" told about a large-scale investment project that is planned to be implemented in the Irkutsk region. The all-season resort "Baikalskaya Sloboda" will be located on the shore of the Angara River on an area of 330 hectares.

As part of the project, several hotels of various categories with 3,500 rooms, entertainment facilities, an ecopark, infrastructure for beach tourism and winter outdoor activities will be built. The main point of attraction will be a private marina for 450 yachts, a yacht club, an outdoor and winter heated boat storage area.

The master plan of the territory is already ready, and next year the design of the supporting infrastructure will begin. At the same time, the natural uniqueness of the territory will be preserved.

The project involves a phased implementation, the first stage will be implemented in 2027. According to forecasts, the tourist flow will amount to 850 thousand people by 2035.
