The unique automatic baggage sorting system (ASSB) became the winner of the National Award in the field of industrial technologies "Priority - 2023" in the nomination "Transport". A special feature of the ASSB is the high speed of baggage transportation through the system - 1.5 m/sec, as well as the fact that each piece of luggage is moved on separate pallets equipped with microchips, thereby eliminating the risks of loss or damage to passengers' personal belongings.

The intelligent software in the new ASSB (SCADA) allows you to control all stages of transportation - from the moment of baggage delivery to its loading on the plane. The system of individual carriers allows you to deliver luggage to the place of picking up the flight three times faster than on a conveyor-type ASSB.

Thus, with a total processing volume of about 6 thousand pieces of luggage per hour, the time for processing one piece of luggage from the check-in desk to loading on board is 14 minutes.

The new ASSB at Domodedovo Airport is the only high-tech complex of a new type in Russia, built on the basis of smart TUB TRAX technology. The system provides additional safety and accuracy when sending passengers' luggage on a flight.

The project of Moscow Domodedovo Airport for an automated baggage sorting system, which is installed in the international flight area, has been implemented in a technological partnership with Reksoft. The main focus of the Priority 2023 award was the application of Russian technologies and developments.
