Teberda Nature Reserve, located in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, has begun preparations for the opening of its ecological trails and paths, which were previously unavailable due to restrictive measures introduced to curb the spread of coronavirus, as reported by Interfax quoting the administration of the reserve.

"Currently there is a ban on ecotours, but we are preparing for a possible removal of restrictions. The routes, ecological trails of the reserve are being prepared. Thus, the trail in the Amanauz gorge on the route to the Devil's Mill Canyon and Sofrudzhinskiye Falls is being improved," - the employee of the reserve said.

Before the coronavirus pandemic, more than a dozen eco routes were available to tourists in the reserve.

The Teberdinsky Reserve is a typical mountainous area. The reserve is known for more than 100 glaciers, representing 10% of its entire territory.
