A USA citizen from Virginia followed the squirrel, which pulled her towards its wounded baby as if asking for help, as reported by the Independent.

The woman said that a squirrel ran up to her in the Kiwanis park, Pulaski, and began to pull her leg inviting the American to follow the animal. At the side of the trail there was a baby squirrel with an injured leg.

Tia Powell quickly realised what had happened and called the police. The police officers provided the little squirrel with first aid and helped it to climb the tree. The police called the woman «squirrel whisperer». The example of the salvation of the wounded animal shows that the nature needs men as much as mankind is in need of nature.
