Sochi and Antalya topped the list of popular destinations for summer holidays

Moscow Domodedovo Airport summed up the results of the summer in the most popular cities for recreation. Sochi and Antalya have become leaders - more than 1 million 36 thousand passengers have chosen these destinations for summer travel.

Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Makhachkala are also included in the rating of the most popular destinations within Russia. In addition, a significant increase in traffic was recorded on the following routes: Arkhangelsk, Vladikavkaz and Izhevsk - passenger traffic to these cities increased by 73% compared to the same period last year.

On international routes, the highest passenger traffic figures were recorded in Antalya. Tashkent, Dubai, Yerevan and Osh are also among the most popular routes. Among the most dynamically developing international tourist destinations are Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Yerevan, Ashgabat and Addis Ababa. Traffic to these cities has increased almost 2.5 times compared to the summer period of 2022.

The maximum average daily passenger traffic in the summer season of 2023 was recorded on August 12: on this day, almost 72 thousand people used the airport's services.
