The 9th Transbaikal International Film Festival will be held in Chita from 26 to 29 May.

Russian theater and cinema stars will also visit the Bystrinsky Mining and Processing Plant, Gazimur Plant and the production site of the enterprise. The artists will hold creative meetings with the villagers and workers. The actors will also visit six other districts of the region - the Aginsky, Kalarsky, Nerchinsky, Sretensky and Baleisky districts.

“The film festival for residents of Chita and guests of the city is a unique opportunity to attend performances and creative meetings with honored theater and film actors. For the professional community, master classes and personal communication with actors, directors, screenwriters and representatives of the film crews of the films presented in the program are important. And, of course, it is planned to welcome the guests of the film festival with the employees of the enterprise at the production site, which has already become a good tradition for us. We are organizing the visit of Nonna Grishaeva, Anna Ardova and Evgeny Dyatlov,” said Aleksey Burguchev, Advisor to the General Director of Bystrinsky Plant.

According to the organizers, the ninth Transbaikal International Film Festival will be the first event of this level in Russia this year. It returned after a two-year hiatus due to coronavirus restrictions with six premiers.
