Pulkovo Airport receives 18 million passengers in 2018

Over the past year, Pulkovo Airport has received 18 million people and is planning to receive 20 million people, said the vice-governor of St. Petersburg, Vladimir Knyaginin. This will reportedly happen after the launch of a new terminal.
Knyaginin added that the Sapsan and Allegro trains also transport new tourists to St. Petersburg as the city joined the race of becoming a global tourist hub. There has been a significant increase in the flow of tourists to the city. Thus, by 2024, the expected number of tourists will stand at 12 million. The city government intends to expand the historical center, as well as launch new services at the traditional cultural objects.
