The carrier company has already sold 100 thousand tickets for trains to and from Crimea, says the press service of "Grand Service Express". “We have a hundred thousandth passenger! Congratulations, he will get a certificate for free tickets for him and his family,” said the official page of the carrier’s social network.
The tickets began to be sold on November 8, 2019. The trains run on the bridge from December 25, 2019. The first train from St. Petersburg to Sevastopol had more than 600 passengers on board.
In just over a month, over a hundred passenger trains with 85 thousand passengers passed along the Crimean bridge. The peak occurred on January 3, when 2.8 thousand people went under the railway arch. A hundredth in a row was a train traveling from Sevastopol to St. Petersburg, which crossed the Kerch Channel on January 19 at 23:10 Moscow time.
The traffic intensity on the bridge will increase with the gradual expansion of the geography of year-round and seasonal routes by the carrier company.
The road part of the Crimean bridge is also operational. Over 20 months, 8.7 million vehicles crossed the channel, including 114 thousand buses and almost 950 thousand trucks.
