The Rosa Khutor resort said the complex is operating as usually. Despite the cancellation of mass events due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus, there is a slight increase in hotel bookings compared to last year. The press service of Rosa Khutor noted that according to the experience of previous years, the skiing season in the resort continues at least until mid-April.
“We certainly take into account the current situation, take the necessary preventive measures and promptly respond to any changes in the epidemiological situation. The resort has all the conditions for our guests to spend more time in the mountains and in the fresh air. We hope that this will help everyone who comes to us energize and strengthen immunity. We expect an influx of tourists and are already actively preparing for the summer season as well. The resort is ready, we will offer guests many new activities, the cost in general will not change and the prices will remain at the level of last summer,» the Rosa Khutor resort said.
The growth of the tourist flow is noted by the Sochi resort Krasnaya Polyana. The amount of bookings for a long period in March here increased by 15%.
“Since March 14, the number of bookings for a long stay has increased noticeably at Krasnaya Polyana Resort. The average period of guest staying at the resort has grown from three to ten days. Most often guests come from the Krasnodar Territory and the Moscow Region, which accounts for more than 40 percent of the total number of our guests", the press service of Krasnaya Polyana said.
However, one Sochi resort, Gazprom, announced the termination of hotel reservations due to the threat of the spread of the coronavirus. Hotel reservations were suspended until April 30th. Guests who book accommodation in April may reschedule their reservations for other dates on special conditions. Reservation of rooms with a check-in date after April 30 continues as usual. At the same time lifts continue working. The ski slopes of the resort - Alpika and Laura - will close on March 31.
