With some exceptions, as in the case of Spain, which will only allow tourists to enter from July 1, almost all the main tourist destinations of the European Union are again available to travelers due to the opening of the community's internal borders.

The European Commission has recommended that EU States lift border controls and restore free movement in the Schengen area from mid-June.

France has lifted restrictions on Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, saying it is ready to open borders with other neighbors on the basis of reciprocity.

All Schengen borders are now open with Germany, with the exception of Norway and Spain.

Greece has allowed tourists from 29 European countries to enter. Portugal also accepts international travelers, but only through the country's air gates, as its border with Spain is still closed.

Austria has lifted entry restrictions for 31 European countries, but temporarily retains them for Sweden, Portugal, Spain and the UK.

Italy has been open to all 26 countries of the Schengen area since the beginning of June.
