Kronotsky Reserve in Kamchatka announces recruitment of volunteers for 2020

The Kronotsky Reserve in Kamchatka has announced recruitment of volunteers for 2020. As it became known on its official website, from April to October 2020, 134 volunteers are ready to receive here.

Two volunteer programs will work in the protected areas.

The first includes household, repair and minor construction work, cleaning the paths between the cordons, and assistance in selling souvenir products.

The second program is being implemented for the first time and is aimed at cleaning the protected coast from debris which is dangerous for the protected inhabitants. The collected garbage will be sorted and examined. Based on the study, specialists will develop measures to prevent pollution of ocean waters.

Both men and women can become volunteers. Each volunteer can spend on a cordon from 20 to 30 days. In the South Kamchatka Nature Reserve, volunteers are expected at the Grassy and Ozerny cordons.

The volunteer experience of the candidate, the presence of recommendations and thanks, the presence of a short video presentation will be taken into account. And the early submission as well.

The ticket to Kamchatka and accommodation in the city are paid by the volunteer. A helicopter flight to and from the cordon, as well as accommodation on the cordon, is provided by the reserve.
