The management of the Ergaki Nature Park in the Krasnoyarsk Territory strongly recommended that tourists temporarily abandon campings due to the migration of bears through the park.

«The park has unfavorable conditions for tourism. We observe a massive migration of bears across the territory due to the low food supply and the passing of bears from the Eastern Sayan Mountains. There is an increased danger of attack, in this regard, the management of the Ergaki Natural Park strongly recommends tourists not to stay for the night,» the press service of the park said.

Commercial campgrounds are advised to suspend activities from 15 August. In addition, the directorate called for the cancellation of multi-day tours, to carry out only radial one-day trips to the Hanging Stone eco-trail - Khudozhnikov Pass.

Since the beginning of summer, there have already been two fatal cases of bears attacking people. After that, the Ministry of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory sent additional groups of inspectors to the park. They will patrol the main tourist routes and monitor the safety of tourists vacationing in the protected area. It was decided to restrict the access of guests of the natural park to remote areas where there are no equipped ecological paths.
