An environmental campaign “Feed the bird” has started in Moscow to help birds wintering in the city, initiated by Mosvolonter. Until the end of February, anyone can bring food and hand-made or purchased feeders to the collection points. The action is supported by the Mospriroda. “Citizens of the capital can give pumpkin, sunflower and flax seeds, hazelnuts, acorns, rapeseed and hazelnuts as treats for birds. All products must be unsalted and not fried, ”the message on the Mospriroda website says.
Experts advise making feeders from environmentally friendly materials - wood, plywood, jute and ceramic dishes.
“You can also dream up and create edible feeders, taking as a basis, for example, coconut shells, cones,” Mospriroda noted.
The action will be joined by educational and socially-oriented organizations in Moscow and children with disabilities who have decided to help the wintering birds.
You can bring help immediately to the structural divisions of Mospriroda or to specially installed boxes in the volunteer district centers Good Place.
