A forest fire of about 25 hectares was recorded in the area of the Dyatlov Pass in the Northern Urals, says Interfax citing the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the region.
The report says that the fire began from a hiking trail, but has already spread hundreds of meters around.
Despite this, it is mentioned that the fire was not caused by human.
A helicopter with six specialists from the Alapaev branch of the Ural Air Base as well as an all-terrain vehicle with additional forces was sent to the field, the report said.
The Pass received the name of Dyatlov due to the tragedy that occurred in 1959 when nine people died under inexplicable circumstances, including Igor Dyatlov himself, who headed the tourist group.
