Almost a third of Russians are going to explore their native country after the lifting of restrictive measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic, as per a survey conducted by experts of the OneTwoTrip travel service.
Trips to the tourist regions of Russia are planned by 24% of respondents, another 8% plan a wellness vacation at Russian resorts. At the same time, Crimea turned out to be a favorite of preferences: 26.5% of those who intend to spend their vacations this year in Russia are planning a trip to the resort peninsula. The Krasnodar Territory, where 25.2% of respondents want to go, ranked second. The tourist regions of Siberia are far behind with the two leaders of the ranking: Altai is chosen by 7.8% of respondents, Baikal - 5.9%.
The study also showed where the Russians would rush in case of border opening. First of all, it will be European countries — Italy, Spain, Greece - 38% of Russian tourists would like to visit these countries this year. And the neighboring countries - the Baltic States, Armenia, Bulgaria attract 23.4% of respondents. The least popular destinations are Africa, Asia, the USA and Australia.
