The Chinese transferred the new coronavirus 2019-nCoV to the Russian scientist for the joint development of a vaccine, as reported by the Russian Consulate General in Guangzhou.

Previously it was reported that Russian specialists managed to create rapid tests that identify the virus within two hours. According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, "the tests are already running and give a good result."

After the Chinese scientists placed the genetic composition of the virus in a public database, teams of scientists in the United States, Australia, several other countries, as well as specialists from Johnson & Johnson, Moderna Therapeutics and Inovio Pharmaceuticals, also began emergency vaccine development.

The outbreak in China killed 132 people, about 6,000 people became infected. At least 65 people infected have been confirmed in 16 other countries, including Thailand, France, the United States and Australia. Mortality is 2.2%, which is lower than SARS pneumonia (9.6%) and Middle Eastern respiratory syndrome MERS (36%). It is noteworthy that not a single death has been registered outside of China.
