As EcoTourism Expert came to know, routes and recreational facilities in the reserve were closed for tourists and sightseeing groups for more than a week. Due to the unusual silence and the absence of anxiety factors wild animals began to fearlessly go out on the trails.
Wild animals are noticed by state inspectors who patrol objects during the period of self-isolation. In a yew-boxwood grove roe deer was spotted. The cautious animal first hid behind the trees and then ran out to the path. On seeing people the roe deer stayed in sight for only a second and then turned around and sped off into the forest.
Roe deer rarely come so close to the path where people walk, thus, the meeting can be called unique, the reserve said. Moreover, there was a jackal was seen on the banks of the Khosta River.
In a yew-boxwood grove is inhabited by raccoons, martens, and squirrels in addition to roe deer and jackals. Closer to the river you can find an otter and a badger. There are times when especially lucky tourists notice the beasts.
